This piece is an arrangement of the first movement of Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in A Minor for a violin duo.
Structure: It features the original solo violin part as Violin 1, while the Violin 2 part acts as the accompaniment.
Pedagogical Use: This setup is ideal for a student-teacher duet. It allows the student to tackle a cornerstone of the intermediate student repertoire (the solo part) while the teacher provides rhythmic, harmonic, and stylistic support via the second part.
Skills Developed: It is excellent for introducing students to Baroque style, shifting, articulation, and ensemble playing/listening.
