Johann Christoph Pepusch (1667–1752) was a German-born Baroque composer who spent the majority of his career in England, famously collaborating with George Frideric Handel and arranging the music for The Beggar's Opera. The fourth movement of his Trio Sonata in F Major is a bright, dance-like, and high-energy piece. Beautifully adapted here for an ensemble of three violins, it features a joyful momentum and crisp contrapuntal texture characteristic of the high Baroque style.
