Haydn, J. - Trio No. 4, Hob XI:28 (Two Violins and Viola)
Haydn wrote many trios for baryton, viola and cello. Employed by the Esterhazy family in the 1760’s, he was encouraged to compose chamber music that included baryton, Prince Nikolaus’s instrument. This is an arrangement of one of his charming, spirited trios, for two violins and viola. All three movements are included.
