(Henri Casadesus (1879 – 1947) was a violist and music publisher. Henri Casadesus is now credited with writing the concerto that this Adagio is from. Originally thought to be composed by J.C. Bach, scholarly criticism has confirmed that this concerto was written by Henri Casadesus in the style of their purported composer.This arrangement for string quartet is is equally challenging for all voices - the melodic content is shared with all.
