Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Divertimento No. 7 in D major, K. 205 (167A) was composed in 1773 in Salzburg, intended as elegant entertainment or outdoor party music for the aristocracy. While originally scored for an unusual combination of violin, viola, double bass, and two horns, an arrangement for Violin, Viola, and Cello transforms it into a standard, tightly knit Classical string trio.

Across its movements, the piece balances aristocratic grace with playful rhythmic drive, utilizing the transparent textures typical of Mozart's early Salzburg chamber style.
