This piece is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Sonata in F Major, Mvt. 1 (an arrangement of his famous Sonata for Bassoon and Cello in B-flat major, K. 292, transposed here to F major for performance convenience on strings). Composed in early 1775, the original work served as a witty, conversational dialogue between two low-register instruments. This adaptation turns it into a bright, conversational cello duo.
