Gliere, R. - Duet No. 7, Op. 53 (Violin Duo)

Rienhold Gliere was born in the mid 1800's in Kiev in what is now Ukraine and died in the mid 1900's in Moscow. He taught at the Moscow Conservatory for many years. His compositions were numerous - ballets, symphonies, concertos, chamber works, film scores and operas. This violin duo was originally written for  cellos and works very well for 2 violins.
