Originally composed by a 13-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1769, the Cassation in B-flat major, K. 99 is a multi-movement orchestral serenade written for outdoor evening entertainment in Salzburg. This arrangement scales the work down for a standard String Quartet (Two Violins, Viola, and Cello), beautifully translating its bright, galant style and youthful charm into an intimate chamber setting.
