Rests

A whole rest - equal to a whole note or rest in length. A whole rest is equal to 4 quarter note rests.

Four quarter note rests - together equal to a whole note or rest in length. Four quarter note rests are equal to one whole rest, or two half note rests.

Eight eighth note rests - together equal to a whole note or rest in length. Eight eighth note rests are equal to one whole rest, or four quarter rests.

Sixteen sixteenth note rests - together equal to a whole note or rest in length. These are equal to one whole rest or four quarter rests.
